NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE The City of McIntyre has tentatively adopted a millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 8.27 percent. All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at City Hall 102 Railroad Street on August 18th, 2016 at 10:00am and 4:00 pm. Times and places of additional public hearings on this tax increase are at City Hall 102 Railroad Street on August 25th at 6:00pm. This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 3.22 mills, an increase of .246 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 2.974 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $75,000.00 is approximately $18.75 and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of 75,000.00 is approximately $18.75.'

NOTICE: 2015 CCR Annual Water Quality Report are available at City Hall located at 102 Railroad Street.

Water bills are due on the 15th of each month, a late penalty of $5.00 applies after the 15th, Termination date is the 28th of the current month, bills will need to be paid prior to the 28th, Reconnect fee is $35.00 and is applied to terminated accounts for non-payment. Bill will have to be paid in full to have water restored.

The city of McIntyre strives to offer its citizens the highest quality of service and a safe water system.


Council meetings are the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, beginning at 5:00PM, If you would like to be placed on the Agenda for topics, you must call City Hall at 478-946-2037 prior to the meeting date.

Municipal Court is held the 1st Tuesday of each month at 5:00pm. Ralph Jackson is the honorable Judge, and any discussions pertaining to the court date will need to be discussed either with the Clerk of Court Pamela Roberts at 478-946-2037, or Chief Wayne Amerson at 478-946-3483.

We are glad to see that you have visited our website, isn’t technology wonderful.

We are excited to share with you some of our wonderful History, our Local Businesses  and our many photos of events we host here in McIntyre.

Every year we host a May Day Festival, where everyone is invited to participate, we offer a wide range of events, entertainment, food and more food. Once you’ve had southern cooking all other just lacks something.

We also invite you to attend our council meetings every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month beginning at 5:00pm.  We look forward to hearing ideas on ways we can better serve our citizens.

McIntyre is currently small, but we are aiming to change that. That is our goal, to see McIntyre grow. While we absoutley adore our “Country Livin” and the “Know Your Neighbor” lifestyle, we want to do more in hopes of bringing the next generations into prosperity.

We hope you stop by one day, just to say hi and see for yourself  how a little southern hospitality goes a long way.
